Update: Following our report, AgeGo updated their Privacy Policy to explicitly name Amazon Web Services as a third-party provider and updated their technical infrastructure to avoid collecting the exact videos users attempt to watch and now only collects the website information.

To comply with European and French law, major pornographic platforms implemented age verification measures on August 28th, 2025 in France. Three of them—xvideos, xnxx, and tnaflix—chose to rely on the solution developed by AgeGO.

This report scrutinizes the data traffic between a user's device, AgeGo, the porn platform, and other third-parties, as they go through the process.

We observe that when users select the “Selfie” verification, their webcam stream is transmitted directly to Amazon Web Services.

Also, through an unskippable page, AgeGO forces users to disclose an email address after completing the age verification process.

These results raise serious privacy concerns regarding the leakage of sensitive data that users can be exposed to when using certain age verification systems.
